Candace Solesbee Owner & Founder, Shampoo Dolls SalonCandace grew up in Cottage Grove, Oregon. In 1987, she attended The Creative Institute of Design where the beauty industry stole her heart. She moved to California's Bay Area, opening her first salon at the age of 21. Today with 5 successful salons under her belt, she has trained and employed well over 100 stylists during her career. Candace Solesbee's salons have won numerous awards including Best Salon & Best Spa. She is excited to return to her roots in Cottage Grove for her newest venture...the opening of Shampoo Dolls Salon in 2015. As a successful salon owner and master of her craft, Candace Solesbee knows it is essential to stay on top of the latest cutting and coloring techniques, and is known for pushing the boundaries of hairstyling. She has trained extensively with the Sassoon Academy, Bumble and Bumble, Tigi's Toni & Guy and Redken 5th Avenue.

Cassandra Branstetter Salon ManagerCassandra is goal oriented and driven to succeed. When she was offered the position of Manager at Shampoo Dolls Salon, she was excited to be part of this exciting new adventure. She is an asset to the salon because of natural leadership style, which is non-threatening, non-competitive way. She loves one-on-one interaction with clients. Cassandra's desire to inspire and help others is what ultimately led her to the beauty industry. [clear]

SpecialtyCassandra has always been inspired by beauty and fashion and is known for having her own unique sense of style. She has a passion for color and is particularly known for her beautiful blondes. Cassandra is a perfectionist with her color formulations, delivering custom highlights, lowlights, balayage and ombré, always with rave reviews. BackgroundCassandra grew up in Cottage Grove and dreamed of being a labor and delivery nurse. However, after watching her father battle terminal health issues, she realized that would have a difficult time with the emotional aspect of a career in a hospital environment. She enrolled in the International Beauty School and never looked back.

Shawna Seiffert StylistFor Shawna, being a part of the ever-changing world of hair artistry is a passion. She loves working in an industry that is constantly changing with trends and technology, and where customer service is always front and center. Becoming a cosmetologist had always been a dream of hers, and one that she never lost sight of even after a series of setbacks. Today, she is right at home here at Shampoo Dolls, doing what she has always wanted to do. It’s so important for clients to have a great relationship with their stylist. Not only will they feel more comfortable, but it helps with the communication that is necessary to create the best results. Shawna is always ready to listen to what her clients want and offer them feedback on what would look best. Her goal is for clients to leave her chair feeling happy and confident, so she is always ready to give her honest opinion and make suggestions. Shawna sees the unique beauty inside each client and encourages them bring it out.
SpecialtyShawna has a great sense of adventure and being a hair stylist satisfies her need for new ideas and challenges. She follows all the latest styles and trends, and is eager to learn the new techniques behind them. She’s always ready to step out of her bubble when a client wants to try new and crazy things.
BackgroundShawna attended Springfield College of beauty in 2009 and has since returned to take a course on becoming an instructor. She is married and has a 7 year old son.

Melina Mortensen StylistMelina Mortensen has always loved the glamor of old Hollywood and the 80’s Rocker Chic looks. When Melina heard about Shampoo Dolls Salon and their unique blend of Old Hollywood style mixed with a pinup biker chick vibe, she knew it was a natural fit for her and her talents.
“What’s the best part of what I do? That’s a difficult question. I love so many creative aspects of this profession. But If I had to chose just one, I would say it is helping clients find their inner beauty and reveal it on the outside. I love creating a style that not only transforms their hair but also their attitude and self confidence. There is nothing more wonderful than the smile on my clients face at the end of a service."
SpecialtyMelina is known for her amazing hair color makeovers and she is also the resident educating stylist for gentlemen’s barbering techniques, having had extensive training in both.
BackgroundMelina has been in the beauty industry for over 10 years. She grew up in Tillamook, Oregon. She spent most of her career working in Central Oregon before relocating to Cottage Grove and joining the team at Shampoo Dolls. She enjoys learning and keeps herself current on trends and product lines. She believes industry knowledge is key and attends hair shows and online training whenever possible.
Angela Davidson StylistAngela got into the beauty industry because she was obsessed with Lon Chaney as a kid. She was drawn to special effects make up and wanted to be able change people into whatever they wanted to be. Angela loves all aspects of the beauty industry not just makeup. But she enjoys doing makeup and hair for weddings, events, fashion shows and professional photo shoots.
SpecialtyAngela is known for her expertise with curly hair and men's cuts. She also does amazing Shadow Box Hair Color! You might guess makeup is her main passion but she'll tell you that waxing is her all time favorite service. Around here, she is known as the Wax Queen and along with her ability to sculpt the perfect eyebrow.

Laura has been a hair stylist since 2007. She is passionate about hair color and particularly enjoys getting creative with blonde colors. She values uniqueness and is always up for a challenge when it comes to pushing the limits with hair color. She is an experienced stylist and welcomes new clients!

Jennifer Perini, StylistJennifer is definitely an artist. Even before any formal training in the arts, she had an undeniable natural ability. After graduating from Cottage Grove High School, Jennifer went to college where she studied color theory, figure drawing, airbrushing and many other art mediums and applications. She has applied her artistic skills towards tattoo design, advertising and commissioned paintings. She even worked as a florist at one time. Moving into the beauty industry was a natural progression! She excelled at the IBS School of Cosmetology where she won first place at the school’s winter updo challenge. She loves hair color and is trained in all the latest techniques including custom highlights, balayage, ombre hair and the popular bright and vivid colors. She enjoys working with people and is a great listener. She is very sweet and caring, and truly wants each and every client that sits in her chair to leave happy and feel like they have made a new friend. Jennifer takes plenty of time during a consultation and is attentive all the way through to the finished style.
I believe hair is the picture frame of the face. It is so important to find the right look for you, it can change your whole energy and what you project to the world.She loves her community and is proud to be a district rep for the South Lane School District budget committee where she is serving for her 11th year. Jennifer is a single mother of a son and a daughter, both fellow graduates of her own Alma Mater, Cottage Grove High School.

Michelle Green Harren, Stylist at Shampoo Dolls Salon in Cottage Grove OROriginally for Southern California, Michelle trained at the world famous Vidal Sasoon Academy in Santa monica, and has been a hair stylist for over 23 years. She enjoys all aspects of hair cutting and styling, and excels at the hair color in particular. She also is a hair extensions stylist, certified by Extend Tubes.

Katie Johnson Stylist at Shampoo Dolls Salon in Cottage GroveKatie is originally from Eugene, but made Cottage Grove her new home about a year and half ago. She was always drawn to the beauty industry and as a child would give her Barbie dolls (and sometimes herself) a new, and not always good, hairstyle. After getting started at the Springfield College of Beauty, Katie graduated from Northwest College of Beauty in September 2014. Katie enjoys all aspects of cutting and styling but particularly is passionate about barbering, hand painting hair color, pixie cuts and updos. She also likes to do A-line cuts, hair with long layers and any chance she gets to use her razor.
